DIE is a concept album about the thoughts of two lovers, a man and a woman. Man is in the middle of the sea and afraid to die. The woman looks from the mainland at the last bursts of storm off the coast, with the fear of never seeing the man again.
It is structured in six parts, with two choral pieces (Tanca and Mandria) to open and close the record, and four central pieces (Stormi, Dark, Flesh and Landscape) developed from the perspective of him and her.
The title has more meanings, in Sardinian means "day", in English "die" and in German is the female definite article.
